What Happens In Vegas . . . » Brats & Beer

I got asked by a couple people about the trip to Vegas, but you know the saying. Overall, though, it was a really great time there — it truly is an adult playground. Without giving away too much, here’s a few quick notes and thoughts:
- The MGM Grand is a pretty nice place to stay. Some good lounges, plenty of restaurants, huge casino floor, and close enough to other places you don’t have to travel too far. I’d recommend it to anyone thinking of going.
- Least favorite casinos we saw: Monte Carlo (no action), Luxor (like a tomb), Paris Las Vegas (creepy Disneyfication).
- The Hard Rock Casino on a Friday night was the rowdiest place we saw.
- Saw the worst lounge act in the world at the Excalibur.
- Stay away from downtown unless you are 21 and just want to get your drink on, in which case that is the place to be.
- Why do so many people bring their infants and children to Las Vegas?
- Southwest has some of the cheapest flights, but they’ve managed to make air travel even more of pain in the ass with their “first come first served” seating system.
- Checklist for next trip to Vegas: Bring half as many clothes and twice as much money.
