Thoughts On The Eve Of The Eve Of The Eve Of Packers Training Camp » Brats & Beer

Is it finally almost time for training camp to start? Don’t joke around about this because I’m practically dying over here. This summer has been long, hot, and excruciatingly boring due to the longness and hotness. I though early on that the Brewers might actually do something this year and I might be tempted to get into regular season baseball, but that turned out to be just wishful thinking. (There’s still hope, I guess. Trade deadline is days away and they haven’t dealt Carlos Lee yet.)

One sort of cool development on the news front is that the Press-Gazette has redesigned its online Packers News section and made the whole site free to everyone. I’m not sure if this is a result of the 4-12 season or if they never really had many subscribers to begin with, but I’m glad to see that all the columns will be available for the upcoming season. If you haven’t already checked out the new site, I think you’ll be impressed.

And this just in: AJ Hawk got hitched yesterday in Green Bay. According to the Journal Sentinel, the fifth-round draft pick made it official with Laura Quinn in a civil ceremony. Now if he’ll just sign a contract and get his married butt into camp on time.
