Our latest shipment of summer sausage arrived this week from Kewaskum Frozen Foods, and it should be enough to last us through most of the remaining football season. Man, I loves me some summer sausage.
There are more than a few benefits to living in central Texas, namely the lack of winter; the whole place might shut down at the first hint of freezing precipitation, but I’ll take that over having to shovel my way out of a three-foot snow drift. However, access to good summer sausage is not one of those benefits. For some reason no one around here can make decent sausage. So thank the stars we can always order online from Kewaskum Frozen Foods.
Another craptastic “benefit” of living in the South is the scheduling of college football broadcasts. This weekend’s game between Wisconsin and Penn State is being shown on ABC, which is cool that they think it’s a big enough game to put on the air instead of on ESPN, but unfortunately the local affiliate here won’t be showing that game. Instead we’ll be getting the Hicksville University Hillbillies (Missouri) against the Bedrock Community College Boneheads (Nebraska). Boo-ya!
At least I’ll have good summer sausage to snack on while listening to the Badger game online.
