First the Packers backfield gets depleted by injuries, now it looks like Charles Woodson will be sitting out of this week’s game against the Bills. The football gods are sure being fickle about shining good fortune on Green Bay.

Woodson is listed as doubful due to a leg injury he sustained against the Cardinals, which might be the same injury he had against the Dolphins. If he’s unable to play, that means street free agent Patrick Dendy, promoted to the active roster early last month after Ahmad Carroll was released, will likely take the veteran’s spot opposite Al Harris.

The Bills don’t exactly have a high-powered passing game, but given the opportunity I’m sure Peerless Price or former Badger Lee Evans can take it to the house. Luckily, Buffalo’s offensive line is in worse shape than the Green Bay’s, allowing 21 sacks so far this season, so hopefully the pass rush can take a lot of pressure off Dendy and Will Blackmon, who will likely see time again in the nickel defense.
