Johnny Jolly: Ho Ho No!

Defensive lineman Johnny Jolly obviously has a lot on his mind these days, with his recent drug arrest in Houston, rehabbing from injury, and just the pressure of playing for an elite team in the NFL. But he’s certainly not helping his case any by getting up in the face of Mark Tauscher, like he did during Wednesday night’s practice. Tauscher is a veteran leader on the team and you risk alienating yourself in that locker room if you cross swords with him too often. Hopefully fences will be mended there quickly.

The other news of note from last night’s practice is AJ Hawk missing action because of a chest injury sustained during Monday’s exhibition game. He was replaced by Brandon Chillar, but it doesn’t sound like the injury was too serious. Plus, he’s AJ Freakin’ Hawk, ain’t no bumps and bruises gonna keep him from playing.

On a lighter note, Marco Rivera, Antonio Freeman, and Dorsey Levens all attended practice last night. They were in Green Bay for an autograph session at the Fan Zone at Lambeau Field. Hopefully some of the younger players got a chance to meet and greet with those Green Bay greats.
