Bucks Come Close To Upsetting Pistons » Brats & Beer

If there is such a thing as a moral victory in pro basketball, I think Milwaukee got one tonight. I doubt anyone (save for SM at Bucks View) had high hopes for the defensively-challenged Bucks in Detroit, I know I didn’t, but they took the former NBA champions into overtime before falling short 106-102. Michael Redd, bless his soul, scored 31 of his 41 points in the second half, sparking a 15-5 run late in regulation that forced overtime. Bobby Simmons and Andy Bogut both scored 14, and Mo Williams added 13 off the bench. Despite the gold star effort, it still goes down as a loss and the Bucks are back to being one game above the .500 mark. They host the 14-29 Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
