A trip to the Metrodome is a lot like going to visit your dysfunctional in-laws: You can never get out of there without a little drama. Today was no different for the Packers, who nearly gave away the ball game after Ryan Grant fumbled a handoff from Brett Favre with under two minutes to play. […]

I’m sure this victory won’t win them many votes with the pollsters this week, but Wisconsin dug deep and overcame Michigan State today 37-34. Oddly enough, after giving up all those points and more than 560 yards, it was the defense that finally came through for the Badgers by making a last ditch stand at […]

I’ll admit that I’m not a very gracious person, so even though my alma mater Cyclones took a beating today against Nebraska I’ll still gloat over the fact that Oklahoma lost to Colorado (hee hee, haw haw) and Texas fell to Kansas State for the second year in a row (whoo hoo).

I got asked by a couple people about the trip to Vegas, but you know the saying. Overall, though, it was a really great time there — it truly is an adult playground. Without giving away too much, here’s a few quick notes and thoughts:

The MGM Grand is a pretty nice place to stay. Some […]

The constant theme running through commentary and criticism before and after Green Bay’s huge win Sunday over the Chargers has been laser focused on the state of the running game, specifically the apparent lack of one. Over the past few months I have been at or near the front of that line of people wanting […]

It was sad to see my vacation in Las Vegas come to an end, but I was plenty glad to be home to enjoy Green Bay’s huge victory over the San Diego Chargers today. What a performance by Brett Favre, who threw for 369 yards and three touchdowns and tied Dan Marino’s record of 420 […]

I suppose in the biz they’d call this a programming note — though that seems to imply that there is an actual audience that needs to be notified of something — but there will be little activity at this site for the next few days because the missus and me are off on a vacation […]
