Yet Another Rant On Time Warner Cable » Brats & Beer

posted under: NFL Network, Time Warner Cable sucks
So training camp is underway and the first preseason games are just around the corner and I just have to ask, why am I still not getting the NFL Network on Time Warner Cable? (And before anyone mentions it, my line of sight to the south is blocked so satellite TV isn’t an option.) Why is TWC flipping the bird to all the football fans in Green Bay, Dallas, and New York? One would think that since the league is putting eight regular season games on its 24-hour cable channel, that would be reason enough to carry the NFL Network but I guess the fucktards at TWC don’t see it that way. Well, the NFL is upping the ante.
This week the NFL Network is launching a huge ad campaign targeting those football markets where TWC is the dominant carrier with the message “Don’t let Time Warner Cable ruin your football season” trying to foment consumer outrage against the big cable company. And I urge everyone to call, write, or to just go to their local TWC office and demand that they carry the NFL Network. I realize that even in the face of overwhelming consumer demand those douchebags at TWC will probably not budge, but at least we can say that we tried.
Of course, things aren’t nearly as bad for us current TWC slaves as it is for Adelphia customers about to become serfs and minions in the TWC empire. Adelphia just started carrying the NFL Network at the end of last season in January, but now just as those people were about to reap the full benefits TWC swoops in and takes over those cable systems and now the NFL Network will get dropped in those areas. All those poor bastards really have reason to bitch.
