When Packer Fans Go Bad » Brats & Beer

I’m no poster boy for PC behavior when it comes to the Green Bay Packers — you do not want to see me watching a game — but the guy in Pardeeville who strapped his kid down with packing tape because he refused to root for the Packers really takes the cake. As horrible as it sounds, though, the quote from the sheriff’s officer is classic: “We’ve been unable to uncover any evidence to suggest that this boy was not a Packers fan,” Smith said. Well thank goodness.
For more conference championship news, let’s go to Bob at the weather desk. Because the NFC Championship game is being played at historic Lambeau Field, it’s understandable that the weather is a big topic going into the game this Sunday. But it’s not like the New York Giants are flying in from the tropical climes of South Florida or Southern California. It gets downright cold and miserable at the Meadowlands, too. (Not to mention that it’s built right in the middle of a swamp.)
That said, the latest forecast from the National Weather Service is still calling for highs Sunday in the higher single digits with no mention of snow yet. I saw Ed Werder last night on ESPN claiming the windchill will be -23 degrees, but with the air temperature that cold it doesn’t take more than a breeze to get that kind of windchill.
