I hate to say this, but I am so happy there’s not a Packers game this Sunday to mess up the weekend. I can just sit back, relax, and enjoy some football without all the stress of worrying about Green Bay. I will, of course, be rooting for Wisconsin on Saturday, but the Badgers are playing Minnesota so I’m not expecting any stress.

It should be a good game though. It seems like the Gophers always play a little above their level when Paul Bunyan’s Axe is on the line, but I don’t think that will be enough for 0-3 Minnesota this year. UW’s defense is #9 in the country in yards allowed and #8 against the pass, while on offense, Wisconsin has been scoring a bit more than Minnesota and runs the ball a lot better than the Golden Gophers.

I think this will be a good hard hitting game early, then Wisconsin will start to pull away. I don’t think it’ll ever turn into a real blowout; the Badgers are favored by a touchdown and that’s probably fair. I’d say UW will win by two scores, maybe 10 points.

Best of all, though, it’s homecoming in Madison this weekend, so Camp Randall should be really rocking. If you want to get psyched up before the game, check out the Oracle of Cheese: He’s posted a great video from a UW game.

Go Badgers!
