I knew these slow starts on the road would come back to bite us in the ass. Wisconsin suffered its first Big 10 loss tonight, getting beaten by Ohio State 77-67. The Badgers we slow off the starting blocks and fell behind early, but managed to rally to lead with seven and a half minutes to play in the first half. The Buckeyes came back, though, and tied the game at 31 apiece at halftime. The Badgers lost control of the game in the second half, allowing an 8-0 run by Ohio State that gave the 19th ranked Buckeyes a lead they would never relinquish. Not to make excuses, but UW was playing without Marcus Landry, who was declared ineligible for the game, and backup center Greg Stiemsma, who missed the game due to medical reasons. Brian Butch was also sidelined for a chunk of the first half after twisting his ankle. The 13th ranked Badgers fall to 14-3 overall and 4-1 in the Big 10. They host North Dakota State this Saturday.
