Remember back a couple years towards the end of his career with Minnesota when Randy Moss said he only plays when he feels like it? Yeah? And remember when he finally got himself traded to Oakland and he said he was a different player and all that stuff was in the past? Well, looks like that didn’t last too long.
According to a report from ESPN, Moss is “unhappy” with his situation in the Bay Area and that’s why he’s not playing well.
Moss, asked Monday about dropping more passes than usual this season, said perhaps his lack of happiness has affected his play.
“Maybe because I’m unhappy, and I’m not too much excited about what’s going on, so my concentration and focus level tends to go down when I’m in a bad mood,” Moss said.
Sounds like someone has gone off his meds. Although I don’t think Moss is the only one who needs to get his prescription filled, because head coach Art Shell is starting to refer to himself in the third person.
“You’re paid to play a game you’ve played for many years and that you love and once you hit the field, you compete,” Shell said. “That’s the way Art Shell sees it.”
Maybe Al Davis should trade that #1 pick for a psychiatrist so these guys can get some therapy.
