Peter King Has An Intelligent Comment (Gasp!) » Brats & Beer

As painful as it is for me to say, the obnoxious and annoying Peter King wrote something in his column today that I actually though made some sense.

Commenting on Brett Favre’s appearance on Letterman last week, everyone’s favorite Starbucks shill says, “Sometimes we try to turn things into Favreisms. Too many things. The best thing we all can do — and this comes from someone who has majored in Favre-ology — is just sit back and see what happens.” I’m not really sure what kind of work you can find with a B.A. in “Favre-ology” (a national sports writing gig, I guess?) but King finally says what I’ve been waiting for someone in the national media to say: Everyone just cool your jets on the comeback stories, despite what Favre says or does not say.

Hopefully this outburst of sentient intelligence is brief and fleeting for King, because I’m not very comfortable living in this Bizzaro World where I agree with things he writes.
