And by sucks I mean bitch-slapped Wisconsin 38-7. Ugh! That was the worst Badger football game in a long, long time. Since November 2005 in fact (according to the Journal Sentinel Badger Blog) when Michigan beat UW 49-14.

They call it Happy Valley but there was really nothing to be happy about in this game. The defense, which had been exposed before but somehow managed to adjust and make some plays late in games, was never able to handle the Nittany Lions and made Morelli look like a Heisman candidate. The offense, meanwhile, shot themselves in the foot early with three turnovers and then melted in front of the Penn State blitz. Simply ugly.

What was once looking like a promising season has quickly turned into probably a 7-4 finish and a berth in a lower-tier bowl game between Christmas and New Years. That is, if the Badgers can put the pieces back together and win three of their last five.

(As Mr. Man points out in the comments, I am not a math major and the Badgers would be 8-4, not 7-4.)
