NFC North Still Hanging Around » Brats & Beer

With their win over the Lions on Turkey Day, the Green Bay Packers all but clinched their first division title since 2004, but dang it all if those other three teams in the NFC Norris aren’t still in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Detroit, despite a three-game losing streak, is still 6-5 and a leading contender for a wildcard berth in the NFC. Only the Giants have a better record among the second place teams. How is Matt Millen ever going to get fired if the Motor City Pussycats make the playoffs this year?

And speaking of the craptastic New Yawk Football Giants, how about that exhibition against the Vikings yesterday? Thanks a bunch for keeping Minnesota’s hopes alive with all those pick-sixes. Archie better have a talk with Little Eli or there might be one less Manning playing in the NFL soon.

And let’s not leave out the supposedly resurrected Denver Broncos who managed to lose to the Chicago Bears. It’s bad enough you kick the ball to Hester and let him score a couple touchdowns, but allowing that excuse for an offense score twice in the fourth quarter? Someone please fire Mike Shanahan before he turns the Donkeys into the Dolphins.
