Ooh boy, looks like the Vikings have another potboiler of soap opera going on.

To bring you up to speed, someone at the Norsemen’s lair recently discovered that there were some inaccuracies on the resume of Fran Foley, the personnel guru they brought in this season from San Diego. Apparently he claimed that he was a coach at The Citadel, Rutgers, and Colgate (he was actually just a grad assistant) and that he played four years at Framingham State (it was actually two). We’ll just say he “embellished” it a little. (And who hasn’t done that?) The team corrected his bio on their Web site and I assume he appologized to Ziggy (who’s name I have been told is actually Zygi, short for Zygmunt, but I like Ziggy better) and everyone just moved on. Then, just a few days after running the team’s spectacular NFL Draft, which included trading up for quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, ‘ol Fran got his walking papers from the Vikes. Now, Foley is suing the team for breach of contract and is demanding an arbitration meeting with commissioner Tagliabue.

Tune in for next week’s episode when Brad Childress learns that Brad Johnson is actually his illegitimate son, and newly drafted linebacker Chad Greenway reveals he’s actually a woman. Should be good.
