It sounds like Mario Williams is bucking for a spot in Green Bay. At the NFL combine in Indianapolis, the NC State defensive end told reporters that he thinks he’ll be drafted in the first round by the Packers, that he’d love to play at historic Lambeau Field, and that his favorite NFL player was Reggie White. Those are all good things to hear, especially since Williams is touted as the top DE in this year’s draft. He recorded 14.5 sacks and 24 tackles for a loss in his two years with the Wolfpack and is said to be on par with Julius Peppers. Keep whispering those sweet nothings into Ted Thompson’s ears, baby, and you might find yourself donning the Green & Gold in the Fall.
