Madison Makes Top 10 Drunk Food List » Brats & Beer

Brendan from the food blog endless simmer dropped off a note here the other day about a post they did on the best eats for drunk college students at the 64 NCAA tournament schools. UW managed to come in 10th in their rankings with a Mac ‘n Cheese pizza from Ian’s Pizza in Madison.

Now I don’t know much about this Mac ‘n Cheese pizza — sounds interesting but I’m slightly suspect — but I do know Madison has a ton of great food places, especially for drunk people in need of big, greasy eats. When I lived there more than a decade ago I seem to remember a place with burritos the size of your head, excellent gyros from The Parthenon (the missus tells me it wasn’t the Parthenon, can’t remember the name but it was across the street), and great sandwiches from Pizza Extreme. I’m probably forgetting a bunch of others.

Surly for great drunk eats Madison deserves a top five ranking.
