Do you suppose Will Ferrell crapped his pants when Eric McNeal intercepted John David “Big” Booty’s pass, sealing UCLA’s 13-9 upset win over USC today? If anyone has video of that, please upload it to YouTube immediately.

So now that the Trojans have been eliminated from the mythical national championship picture, the debate has really started to heat up about who should play Ohio State come January 8. Florida overcame a second half surge from Arkansas to win the SEC title and Michigan really overpowered the competition sitting on their fat asses at home. Who shall it be?

Despite their big win today, I still don’t think the Gators are all that, but I’m hoping the poll voters and the computers see it another way and bump Florida up to No. 2 status. They’ll get blown out by the Buckeyes in a big yawner of a game, but that resolution at least leaves us with a watchable Rose Bowl between the Wolverines and USC.

Either way, there will surely be plenty of bitching about who should be ranked where and which teams should be playing in which bowl, and everyone will conclude once again that the BCS sucks and why can’t we have a playoff system. I can’t wait.
