Javon Walks Away From Rosenhaus » Brats & Beer

Not sure why it took so long, but Javon Walker cut his ties with Drew Rosenhaus yesterday.

I’m sure you remember the story, Walker hired the uber-agent back in February to renegotiate his contract with the Packers and later threatened to hold out of training camp if a new deal wasn’t signed. Eventually, though, he did come to camp — after a little cajoling by Brett Favre — but was injured in the first regular season game against the Lions, missing the rest of the season.

So why the switch? I think Walker still has hopes of getting a new deal once he recovers from the ACL injury and realized that the Packers, Ted Thompson in particular, are not going to be bullied into giving it to him. Plus, I bet seeing his name associated with the whole Terrell Owens – Philly soap opera hasn’t exactly been pleasant. Bully for you, Javon. Get healthy and come back soon. We need you.
