Get ready Hawks fans, because the Cyclones are coming into your house tomorrow, drinking all of your beer, stealing your women, and generally kicking your ass up and down the football field. Yeah! Another chapter in the ISU – UI rivalry gets written this weekend and the Clones are looking to put the hammer down on Iowa for a second year in a row. And as an added benefit, the game is on ESPN so the whole nation will get to see ISU pounce all over those Schmuckeyes.

Think I’m being a little over exuberant here? Okay, maybe I am, but Iowa isn’t looking so tough coming out of the gate this year. The Hawks struggled against Syracuse last week and QB Drew Tate is still injured even though he’ll probably be starting. Plus they’ll be without WR Calvin Davis, whose season ended with a torn Achilles tendon. Sure, ISU has had its share of struggles, particularly on offense last week, but I think the Cyclones will come into this game with a lot of confidence and really raise their game.

Predicting a score here is pretty tough because you never know what to expect in this rivalry. That said, I think the game will start out pretty close before the Cyclones run away with it in the second half. ISU wins 33-17. You read it here first.
