I Want This Guy’s Job » Brats & Beer

While blogging is slowly making inroads into mainstream media outlets and other corporate environments, there aren’t yet a lot of 9 to 5, regular paycheck jobs out there for bloggers. James Arndorfer, though, has landed a pretty good gig running Brew Blog for Miller Brewing.

According to a piece in the Wall Street Journal, Miller started Brew Blog back in 2006 with the help of a couple “communications consultants” as part of its corporate communications and marketing strategy. They recruited Arndorfer, who used to work for Advertising Age, to be their blogger, and now all he does is blog about the beer industry — especially anything that scoops Anheuser-Busch’s own marketing department or that casts the #1 brewer in a bad light.

Obviously my dream blogging job would be to run the official Packers blog if they decided to have something like that, but blogging about beer would be right up there on the list.
