Marquette advanced to 5-2 with an 87-52 victory over South Dakota State last night. James led the way with 14 points and eight assists, while Dan Fitzgerald scored 11 points off the bench. The Golden Eagles shot 61% from the field and hit nine of 15 from three-point range. The Jackrabbits were lights out from beyond the three-point line, hitting 13 of 16, but were only 34% from the field. They host the 3-1 Valparaiso Crusaders Wednesday night before traveling to Madison Saturday for an intrastate shootout with the Badgers.
