Hooray for the Internet! I was able to watch the Packers Family Night scrimmage live streaming across the innerwebs.

Jeers

To FOX affiliate WLUK for not making it clear ahead of time they would be streaming the scrimmage live online, otherwise I would have watched the whole thing.

Cheers

Family Night at Lambeau Field is like a really big high school pep rally. What other franchise has something like that? Thanks to everyone who makes that possible.

Jeers

To any fan who booed during the scrimmage. Tom Pelissero from the Press-Gazette reported tonight, “There was more than a smattering of boos as Aaron Rodgers was introduced as quarterback.” I missed this part, but come on, people, you’re Packer fans. You’ve got more class than that.

Cheers

To all the fans who cheered loudly at the end of the scrimmage when FOX gave away Rodgers’ jersey. That’s more like it.

Jeers

To the first team offense. What I saw looked pretty sloppy, and reading through the reports from both the P-G and the Journal Sentinel it was tough sledding much of the night. The first pre-season game is a week away, boys, time to get it together.

Cheers

The defense appeared to play pretty well, especially the linebackers. From what little I saw, it looked like AJ Hawk was being more active in coverage than last year (scheme?) and the secondary played tight coverage despite Al Harris and Charles Woodson sitting on the sideline.

Jeers

Intra-squad scrimmages make my head spin round. Who should I root for? “Run run run! No, tackle him! No, keep going!” I’m easily confused, though.

Cheers

For Ryan Grant being in uniform on the sidelines tonight and saying the right things at the end when addressing the crowd. Glad you’re back on the roster, sir, now earn all that money by rushing for 1,500 yards.

Jeers

To whomever chose the music selections during the fireworks display. Eclectic is good, but matching together Queen’s “Bicycle Race,” some country song, and Cold Play? Just bizarre?

Cheers

To Deanna Favre for showing up at the scrimmage. I’m not sure exactly why you were there, but it’s nice to see you supporting the team again from the family’s private box.

Jeers

To Brett Favre for leaving his wife all alone in the private suite. Where were you tonight? After all you’ve put us fans through the past month, the least you could have done was stick your head out and said hello.

Cheers

To all the great Packer fan blogs out there. Singling out three great posts from the past 24 hours (in no particular order): The Bucky Channel’s Glimpse Into the Future, Cheese and Packers back from Vacation, and the Wisconsin Sports Bar’s Packers give into the Diva.

Jeers

To Gene Wojciechowski from ESPN for yet another douchebaggy hatchet job on the Green Bay Packers. What is up with you dude? You act like the Packers ran over your dog or something.
