Favre Close To Another Milestone » Brats & Beer

With his 266-yard passing performance against the Raiders yesterday, Brett Favre now has 61,178 career passing yards and is just 183 yards shy of Dan Marino’s NFL record 61,361 yards. Chances are very good he’ll pass that milestone next week against St. Louis, putting Favre at the top of the record books in every important passing stat. (Yes, including interceptions.)
Of course, these records aren’t what is important to Brett Favre, winning championships is, and with the Packers clinching a division title and a playoff berth, he has yet another chance to reach that goal. Green Bay has such a talented and young squad, that no matter how deep they go in the post-season I think there is a good chance Favre will return for at least one more season, meaning those NFL passing records will be a little harder for the next person to break.
