Craig Nall Is Disappointed » Brats & Beer

The La Crosse Tribune has a story today about former Packer quarterback Craig Nall, and it seems he’s not very happy with his situation in Buffalo.

While the money is nice, and Nall doesnt regret his decision to leave the Green Bay Packers after four years behind Brett Favre, hes struggling with the reality that, once again, hes third on the depth chart and has yet to get his big break in the NFL.

Well, boo hoo.

Actually I shouldn’t make fun of the guy; he did dutifully ride the pine in Green Bay for four years and showed some flashes here and there in the few games he played in. Still, I just never really saw enough there to think he could be a starting QB in the NFL. And he would have had to show a lot to unseat J.P. Losman, who was a first round pick by the Bills in 2004 and was supposed to be the heir apparent to Drew Bledsoe. Losman’s not so hot, but the team has invested a lot in him to become their starter.

I do find it somewhat strange that Nall is pretty up front in the article about his desire to be the starter, and almost detached from the rest of the team. There’s not a whole lot of “I’ll do whatever is best for the franchise” and “I’m here to support my teammates” kind of stuff, which on the one hand is sort of refreshing, but on the other I have to wonder how things are going in that locker room.
