The Badgers hockey team is looking to rebound from a pair of losses to the University of Denver Pioneers last week as they host the Golden Gophers of Minnesota this weekend. Minnesota is 16-6-4 overall and 11-5-2 in the WCHA, putting them just four points behind Wisconsin and tied with Denver for second place in the association. Wisconsin, 18-4-2 overall and 13-3-2 in association play, is currently ranked #2 in both the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine and USCHO.com/CSTV polls behind Boston College.

The Iowa State Cyclones hockey team, meanwhile, travels to Kent State this weekend after splitting a pair at home to Weber State last week. ISU is 22-5-4 overall and is ranked fifth in the ACHA. Kent State is just 8-16-0, so the Clones have a chance to make up some ground in the rankings as they close in on qualifying for the national tournament.
