Sounds like ISU has lost a defensive starter. Jason Berryman, who was already on short leash after serving time on a theft and assault rap in 2004, was cited over the weekend for underage drinking after a fight broke out at a Campustown bar. It’s unclear if Beryman played any role in the fight, but the fact that he was there forced coach McCarney’s hand and he booted the defensive standout from the team yesterday. You hate to see stuff like that happen, but you can’t let players challenge the limits without paying a price, otherwise you might as well be the Iowa Hawkeyes.
