With all the attention focused on the Green Bay game in Dallas, I very nearly missed the news that the Wisconsin football team has accepted an invitation to play in the Outback Bowl this New Year’s Day. Congrats to Bret Beilema and his whole squad.

I was somewhat afraid that with the way the season went and how the BCS is shaking out that Bucky would be left to play in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio or the Champ Sports Bowl. Thankfully though, with a 9-3 record and good traveling support from fans, the Badgers will be back in Florida on New Year’s to take on an opponent from the SEC, probably Auburn, Florida, or possible Tennessee.
