B-B-B-Brett And The Jets? » Brats & Beer

ESPN is reporting that the Green Bay Packers have given the New York Jets permission to talk to Brett Favre about a possible trade deal and that Tampa is also in the running. I’m guessing that there was some narrowing of the list this week and, as Aaron at Cheesehead TV points out, the Jets were the first choice of Ted Thompson while Brett chose the Buccaneers. Hopefully we can get a good bidding war going here.

It might not seem like the best place in the world, but I think Brett should take a serious look at the Jets’ offer. They have a fan base hungry for winning at any cost, New York is the biggest media market in the country so there would be plenty of TV face time, and the color scheme isn’t all that far removed from the Green & Gold. Plus I bet Deanna and the girls would like living in New York for the next four months with all there is to do and see there.

Think about it, Brett. Just think about it.
