Another Win But The Badgers Fall In The Polls » Brats & Beer

There was not a lot of love and respect for the Wisconsin Badgers from the pollsters this week. Despite overcoming some first half challenges and beating The Citadel by two touchdowns, UW fell to #9 in the AP poll and remained at #7 in the coaches poll. To echo the sentiments of a commenter on the Journal Sentinel Badgers Blog, Wisconsin might fall out of the poll altogether if this trend keeps up all season.

Of course if the Badgers take care of business and win the Big 10 then the polls won’t make any difference, they’ll be headed to Pasadena no matter what the voters think of the team. And playing in the Rose Bowl — as far as I’m concerned — is a way bigger prize than winning the BCS beauty contest.
