A Packer-less Sunday » Brats & Beer

No Packers game to watch today, whatever will I do with myself? Help out with the laundry? Do some grocery shopping? Cuddle with the Missus on the couch? Heck, no, not with some great action happening around the league today.

The spotlight game has to be Colts at Bengals. Indianapolis is 9-0 and looking to win out for the first time since the ‘72 Dolphins. But I have a feeling Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson are going to have a good game today. Historical note: Cincinnati closed the books on Kansas City’s perfect run back in 2003 with a 24-19 win over the Chiefs.

Tampa Bay at Atlanta should also be a good matchup to watch. Gruden’s Bucs are playing some tough, gritty football after getting off to a lethargic start. Hotlanta is still licking its wounds after taking a drubbing from the Packers (yea!), so I think the Bucs have a chance here to catch the Falcons in the NFC South race.

I’m also interested to see how the Eagles respond to everything they’ve been going through when they travel to the Meadowlands. The Giants really stunk up the place last week against the Vikes, but I think the G-men will rebound easily against the struggling Iggles.
