3/4 Of A Win Is Still A Loss » Brats & Beer

The Badgers were one quarter away from pulling off the biggest upset of the season. The defense had held Ohio State to just 10 points in the first half and then the offense turned it on after halftime to score touchdowns on their first two drives. Wisconsin led 17-10 with about 21 minutes to play in the game. It was a glorious time.

And then the world turned back on its axis and the Buckeyes scored four TDs to close out the game. The meter clearly ran out on the defense that had played so well for most of the game and Ohio State was able to move the ball almost at will after that, though the misguided fake punt attempt (WTF!?) and the two fumbles really doomed the Badgers. It was a horrible final quarter.

With Michigan coming to Madison next Saturday, I hope the team can recover quickly and focus this week on all the things they did right this afternoon.
