This was supposed to be THE game between THE Wisconsin Badgers and THE Ohio State University. It was supposed to be a battle of the unbeatens, it was supposed to determine the pecking order in the Big 10, sending someone to the Rose Bowl — or better. But what was supposed to be, isn’t to […]

So ends the short, promises-unfulfilled rookie year of DeShawn Wynn. The former Gator and seventh-round draft pick was placed on injured reserve today for a shoulder injury suffered last night in Denver. Wynn took himself out of the game after just one carry and the team said today it was a “significant” problem.
I feel sort […]

Freakin’ un-be-lievable.
So can we put to rest all those questions about Brett Favre’s arm strength after the whole country watched him hurl two picture perfect bombs for touchdowns at Mile High Invesco last night? The 79-yarder to James Jones in the first quarter was spot on target, and Jones deserves a lot of credit for […]

Even in this college football season where nothing has gone according to the script, it’s good to see one constant remains: I still can’t predict football games to save my life.
Yes, I did pick the Badgers to win over Indiana yesterday, but was it a close game? Far from it. UW rolled to an easy […]

Wow, with two losses a lot of wind has been taken out of the sails of this Badger football season. Can they finish with eight wins and get to some kind of decent bowl game, or will they be relegated to the Regional Flora or Lawn Implement Bowl? The game tomorrow against Indiana will go […]

That’s right you heard it here first. This Saturday the Iowa State Cyclone football team will emerge victorious in Columbia against the Missouri Tigers. Do you think I’ve gone insane? Do you think I’m mad? Au contraire my little friend.

I went on a vision quest this week, and when my mind was free from thought, the […]

The hockey season is still quite young, but what a fast start for both the Wisconsin men’s and women’s teams.
The two-time NCAA champion Badger women’s team opened their season with six straight wins to extend their winning streak to a record 32 games before falling to St. Cloud State a couple weeks ago. Freshman […]

Defensive tackle Grady Jackson, who played with the Green Bay Packers from 2003 until he became a free agent in 2006, is out of work once again. The Atlanta Falcons decided today to cut the 350-lb. lineman from the roster despite the fact that he has 18 tackles so far this season. I guess when […]

The bye week is over (it just wasn’t a Sunday without the Green & Gold playing) and we can finally get back to watching and talking Green Bay football. The Packers travel to Denver for a Monday night game this week, and it should be a another big test for this young team.
At the start […]

Wisconsin men’s basketball coach Bo Ryan is nuts. First there was the hambone last year, now he’s bustin’ moves to “Soulja Boy.” I’m just glad he coaches for the Badgers and not against them.
