It took a couple days but finally our two supersized defensive linemen, Johnny Jolly and Ryan Pickett, finally passed their physicals and can join the rest of the team in practice.
I know it’s not that big of a deal since neither is a starter, but both Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy went on at length […]

I came across a whole post about the Packers today on Deadspin. Were they passing along condolences to Brett and Deanna Favre on the passing of her stepfather? Maybe taking general manager Ted Thompson to task for our lack of depth at running back now that Vernand Morency looks to be out two weeks with […]
After two days of training camp in Green Bay everything appears to be going according to plan. At least it is if your plan included quarterback Brett Favre being called away to attend a family funeral, wide receiver Donald Driver being held out of practice due to a lingering injury, running back Vernand Morency suffering […]

Continuing my preview of the 2007 Green Bay Packers, let’s take a look now at the defense and what we can expect from that unit. Given the question marks on the offensive side, the old axiom about the best offense is a better defense might be true for the Packers this year.

Yesterday at the shareholders meeting, general manager Ted […]
Packers training camp finally gets underway this Saturday, which means the start of the NFL regular season is just a little more than a month away: Thank you, sweet baby Jebus. Having rounded the final turn and headed down the stretch, there’s been a lot going on in Green Bay this week, from rookies signing […]

Yesterday the Green Bay Packers officially accepted the resignation of president John Jones and started its search for a successor for outgoing CEO Bob Harlan. According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the team agreed to pay Jones the full value of his three-year contract, a settlement of about $2.7 million.
The official announcement should end months […]

Coming out of my off-season hiatus and catching up on some reading, I was stunned to learn that the founder of Johnsonville Sausage passed away a couple weeks ago. (Thanks to the Oracle of Cheese for posting on this news.) Ralph Strayer was 92 when he died at a nursing home in Naples, Florida, after […]
